Virginia Hospital Center, a teaching hospital associated with Georgetown University's School of Medicine, has appointed Dr. Russell McWey, currently chief of medical imaging, to VP and chief information officer.
In his new role, McWey, 62, will help manage hospital strategy, information technology and hospital information systems. McWey, who is board certified in nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiology, has been on staff at the Arlington, Va., hospital for two and a half decades. Before that, he served in the U.S. Naval submarine service as a nuclear engineer and line officer.
