Campbell previously served two terms as chairman for the FAH—first in 1992 and then in 2006—and has 39 years in the hospital industry. He is also senior VP at Nashville-based HCA, where he established its investor relations function.

The Federation of American Hospitals serves as an advocate for investor-owned and -managed community hospitals and health systems throughout the U.S. Its members represent more than 1,100 hospitals nationwide.
