WorldOne, a healthcare data collection company headquartered in New York, announced Kerry Hicks as its chairman of the board, effective Feb. 26.
Hicks, 50, who has been a member of the WorldOne board since August 2012, also is founder, president and CEO of HealthGrades, an independent healthcare ratings company. His age was not immediately available.
“With Kerry Hicks' guidance, we will leverage physicians' extensive experience on the front lines to inform key decisionmaking and improve healthcare delivery,” Peter Kirk, CEO of WorldOne, said in a release.
With 18 regional offices across the globe, WorldOne provides online and offline access to medical professionals in more than 80 countries through its suite of products and services. In July 2012, the company acquired Sermo, allowing it to boost its online network and platform to become the largest online physician community in the U.S.
