Baird, Judd take new roles at Presence Health

Presence Health has announced senior leadership changes involving three Chicago hospitals in its system.

John Baird has been named the new CEO of Presence Our Lady of the Resurrection. Baird has been serving as president and CEO of Presence Resurrection Medical Center since 2011 and will continue in that role.

“John's leadership of this integrated management team will be instrumental as we embark on a collaborative planning process to determine how we can best use the resources at Presence OLR and Presence RMC to meet the needs of residents in these adjoining communities now and well into the future,” Sandra Bruce, president and CEO of Presence Health, said in a release.

Baird replaces Martin Judd at Presence OLR, as Judd moves to the CEO role at Presence Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. Judd will take over as the current CEO, Margaret McDermott, steps down. Her retirement was announced Feb. 6.

Chicago-based Presence Health is the result of the November 2011 merger of Provena Health, based in Mokena, Ill., and Resurrection Health Care, Chicago, making it the largest Roman Catholic health system based in Illinois.
