Kareo named Dr. Tom Giannulli as the cloud-based medical office software and services provider's first chief medical information officer. The announcement coincided with the launch of the company's just-released electronic health record.
Giannulli, 48, will direct the clinical and mobile technology strategies of the company, including its EHR, a free cloud-based application for use in small medical practices that he helped develop after joining Kareo in June 2012.
“Dr. Giannulli is a recognized EHR pioneer, and his insights, expertise and leadership have enabled us to bring to market a world-class EHR product,” Dan Rodrigues, founder and CEO of Kareo, said in a news release.
