Ham named CEO of Medicity

Medicity, a provider of health information exchange technology, named Nancy Ham as its new CEO, effective Feb. 11.

Ham, 51, replaces Brent Dover, who left to pursue another opportunity. Before joining the Salt Lake City-based Aetna subsidiary, Ham served as president and CEO of MedVentive, a provider of performance analytics for accountable care organizations and payers.

Ham brings with her more than two decades of experience in healthcare information technology, including leadership positions at Sentillion, ProxyMed, ActaMed and Healtheon/WebMD.

“Nancy's extensive healthcare leadership experience, and in particular her experience working with providers on solutions for practices and health systems, will greatly benefit Medicity,” Dr. Charles Saunders, CEO of emerging businesses for Aetna, said in a news release.

Medicity serves more than 800 hospitals and 250,000 physicians.
