The Northeastern blizzard is being blamed for at least 14 deaths in the U.S. and Canada. Public health experts say these deaths — the result of carbon monoxide poisoning, car accidents, falls or fires — are especially tragic because most were preventable. Emergency room doctors say they treat some of the same types of injuries after every major storm.
