Phytel, a population health technology company based in Dallas, hired Tom Frosheiser as senior VP of operations, a newly created position.
Frosheiser, 51, most recently worked as general manager at Accordant, a Greensboro, N.C.-based disease- and case-management company owned by CVS Caremark.
Phytel is one of the companies assisting with the formation of a $20 million a three-year "medical neighborhood" demonstration project using health information technology to identify and coordinate care for high-risk patients. The project is backed by the CMS' Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation.
