Home healthcare and medical staffing provider Maxim Healthcare Services has appointed Kevin Apperson as CIO.
Apperson named CIO at Maxim
In announcing Apperson's position, Maxim Healthcare Services—which also provides wellness services—said Apperson has recently focused on conducting a full review of the Baltimore-based company's current systems, resources and infrastructure. As part of this, he implemented the Information Security Council, which was established to focus on increasing security through information services policy management, risk management and security projects.
Previously, Apperson worked for 17 years at staffing firm Allegis Group, Maxim's sister company. He spent 10 years as the company's CIO, during which he oversaw the implementation of the company's information services management system and governance management processes.
“Our goal in the IS Department here at Maxim is to make sure that we deliver the most cost-efficient and effective technological solutions to drive the business,” Apperson said in a news release. “This year, we will concentrate our efforts on implementing a comprehensive Health Information Systems process that aligns with our vision and supports our efforts to provide quality healthcare services to our patients and clients.”
