Tenet Healthcare Corp., Dallas, has announced a number of changes to its legal and compliance teams.
Gary Ruff (PDF), 53, currently senior VP and general counsel, has been named senior VP, physician resources, a new position overseeing the publicly traded company's physician practices. He has served as general counsel since 2008.
Audrey Andrews (PDF), 46, will step into the senior VP and general counsel role. One of Modern Healthcare's Top 25 Women in Healthcare in 2011, Andrews is currently the company's senior VP and chief compliance officer.
In that role, which she held since 2006, Andrews oversaw the company's efforts to complete its obligations under a corporate integrity agreement that ended in September 2011.
Vanessa Benavides, 37, has been promoted to VP and chief compliance officer. She is currently Tenet's corporate compliance officer.
