Blue Health Intelligence, the Chicago-based healthcare data miner founded by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, has acquired Intelimedix, a Tampa, Fla., healthcare data analytics firm.
Terms were undisclosed.
“The strength of the BHI data assets and resources, combined with the expanded expertise that Intelimedix brings, will allow BHI to provide the Blue Cross and Blue Shield System with the data and analytics needed to improve the healthcare experience for consumers,” Swati Abbott, CEO of Blue Health Intelligence (PDF), said in a news release. Intelimedix offers “a full suite of Web-based analytic and data-mining capabilities," David Robinson, founder of Intelimedix, said in the same statement.
