Dr. Gaspere Geraci of Harrisburg, Pa., has been named chairman of the e-Health Partnership Authority, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett has announced.
The authority was created in July 2012 to replace the PA eHealth Collaborative to continue its work in coordinating statewide e-health projects under a $17.1 million federal grant given to the state by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The aim of the authority is to provide “leadership, strategic direction and investments in health information technology and health information exchange initiatives,” according to a news release.
