LifeBridge Health, a three-hospital not-for-profit provider based in Baltimore, has named Tressa Springmann as CIO.
Springmann, whose age wasn't provided, previously served as CIO at 226-bed Greater Baltimore Medical Center, according to a news release.
In her new role, Springmann will focus initially on expanding LifeBridge's use of electronic medical records.
"The expanding role of technology is undeniable as we face the challenges of health reform, requiring integration of ambulatory, hospital and post-acute provider organizations as well as reducing the cost of healthcare through significant payment changes," LifeBridge senior VP and CFO Chuck Orlando said in the release. "I am confident in Tressa Springmann to lead our technology division through these changes."
