Amy Rosa has been named interim executive director of the South Florida Regional Extension Center, Miami, where she is currently assistant director.
Rosa, whose age was unavailable, fills a role previously held by Lisa Rawlins, who joined software development company SRG Technology, Fort Lauderdale, as director of healthcare.
In her new role, Rosa will direct participation in health information exchanges, oversee services for the center's healthcare providers, serve as a staff and outreach leader and coordinate the center's steering committees, according to an e-mailed news release.
South Florida's extension center, established by HHS' Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology in 2010, serves more than 3,000 providers in eight counties, according to the release.
