Acuo, which sells software for consolidating clinical data and images within any electronic medical-record system, will be folded into Lexmark's Perceptive Software division, according to a Lexmark news release.
The company's Universal Clinical Platform allows providers to archive medical images in a single place regardless of the vendor of the imaging system or EMR system.
Lexmark Chairman and CEO Paul Rooke said in the release that the company "is further strengthening and differentiating (its) industry-leading healthcare offerings as the healthcare IT market continues to expand at a rapid pace."
The company in March acquired Brainware, which makes data-capture software for hospitals as part of its $148 million takeover of BDGB Enterprise.
