Despite President Barack Obama's win and its implicit endorsement of healthcare reform, three states expressed displeasure with the reform law by passing referendums that oppose healthcare mandates. A fourth state rejected such a referendum.
Other state healthcare ballot measures included a rejection of physician-assisted suicide, mixed results on three medical marijuana-related issues and a partial vote tally pointing toward a limit on public hospital executive salaries.
