Dallas-based Methodist Health System broke ground Thursday on Methodist Richardson Medical Center-Bush/Renner, a $120 million outpatient hospital in Richardson, Texas. The new facility will be an expansion of the health system's existing 147-bed acute-care hospital, Methodist Richardson Medical Center, located 5 miles away.
"Methodist Health System is excited to begin its highly anticipated expansion to our second location in Richardson today," said Stephen Mansfield, Methodist Health System's president and CEO, in a news release. "Our Campbell Road location has served the Richardson area's healthcare needs for more than 40 years. We look forward to expanding our presence and capabilities to serve the medical needs of North Texas with the Bush/Renner expansion."
