Central Georgia Health System and the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon, have named Ninfa Saunders president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.
Saunders, 60, replaces Don Faulk, who is retiring after 39 years with the medical center.
Saunders was most recently president and COO of Virtua Health, Marlton, N.J., a position she left in February. She has also served on Gov. Roy Barnes' Georgia Cancer Coalition, which was created to develop regional centers of excellence for cancer prevention, treatment and research.
