Scripps Health, San Diego, has named Dr. James LaBelle chief medical officer and corporate senior VP, according to an e-mailed news release.
LaBelle will start Jan. 1 and succeed the retiring Dr. Brent Eastman. His age wasn't provided. LaBelle currently serves as corporate vice president for quality, medical management and physician co-management at Scripps Health. He will retain that post's responsibilities while assuming his new title.
