St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua, N.H., announced that President and CEO David Ross has left his post and that the hospital had named James Hamill as interim CEO, according to a news release.
Ross, 53, is returning to Missouri because of family matters, according to the release. He leaves after more than two years at St. Joseph, starting as CEO in April 2010. He came from Barnes-Jewish St. Peters (Mo.) Hospital, where he served as president.
“On behalf of the St. Joseph Hospital board of directors, we thank David for his time and successes at St. Joseph Hospital and wish him well,” St. Joseph board chair Louise Trottier said in the release. “We will keep David and his family in our prayers.”
Hamill, whose age wasn't provided, served 11 years as president and CEO of Meritus Health, Hagerstown, Md., before he retired in 2011. He served 16 years on the board of directors at Covenant Health Systems, the Tewskbury, Mass.-based parent company of St. Joseph.
