Metropolitan Health Networks, a Boca Raton, Fla.-based healthcare services provider, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire two physician practices serving Florida's Palm Beach market.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, Metropolitan Health Networks said in a news release.
Kanner Shteiman, the entity that owns the two primary-care practices, is owned and operated by Dr. Steven Kanner and Dr. Alexander Shteiman. The practices currently treat patients of MetCare of Florida, a wholly owned subsidiary of Metropolitan Health Networks.
"Acquiring Kanner Shteiman's practices is in keeping with MetCare's goal of increasing its number of wholly owned primary-care centers," said Dr. Jose Guethon, Metropolitan Health Networks' president and COO, in the news release. "We have been actively pursuing these types of practices and will continue to do so."
