Roughly a week after New Jersey's Department of Health and Senior Services published a registry of physicians willing to prescribe medical marijuana, some doctors have been flooded with inquiries from potential patients and have decided the program is just too much trouble.
"We're not doing that anymore," said an office manager at Essex Oncology in the Belleville section of Newark. "We've been getting too many calls." The practice's doctors were on the registry as of the morning of Aug. 13. The listing, however, was removed later that day.
