New York hospitals get more connected
The move follows announced agreements with the Brooklyn Health Information Exchange, eHealth Network of Long Island and Taconic Health Information Network and Community, according to a news release.
"We are excited about the opportunity to enable information sharing across a broader base of providers and further our goal of using health information exchange to improve quality, patient safety and efficiency," said Chris Constantino, executive director of Elmhurst (N.Y.) Hospital Center and chairman of the Interboro RHIO Board, said in the news release. The New York City Health and Hospitals Corp. owns 14 hospitals, including Elmhurst Hospital.
