IMS Health, a Parsippany, N.J.-based provider of healthcare information, services and technology, said it has acquired PharmaDeals, a Web-based subscription database that gathers information about the pharmaceutical industry.
IT company IMS acquires PharmaDeals
Financial terms of the deal will not be disclosed, IMS Health spokesman said.
“To properly assess the value of partnerships and licensing opportunities, clients need to understand the landscape of transactions in the context of real-world evidence,” Anne Delaney, IMS Health's general manager, said in an IMS Health news release. “Now we can bring these perspectives together in a unique and innovative way as the industry continues to transform and healthcare stakeholders look for new partnerships and opportunities for growth.”
The deal closed yesterday.
PharmaDeals is a subsidiary of PharmaVentures, an Oxford, U.K.-based life sciences transaction advisory firm. The PharmaDeals database contains information about the pharmaceutical industry's business transactions, licensing and mergers and acquisitions.
