Essence Healthcare, a St. Louis-based Medicare Advantage health plan, has named Richard Jones president and CEO, according to a news release.
Essence hires tech exec as CEO
Jones, 56, is an executive VP at Lumeris, an information technology, guidance and operational services company serving hospitals and health plans, according to Lumeris' website. He replaces Frank Ingari, who was named CEO at NaviNet, a healthcare communications network developer that is jointly owned by Lumeris and three health plans.
Lumeris is a sister company to Essence and is owned by private investors.
