Dr. John Noseworthy is the president and CEO of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. Noseworthy was named president and CEO in 2009. He joined Mayo in 1990 and served as its chair of the neurology department from 1997 to 2006. He has specialized in multiple sclerosis research and treatment for more than 20 years and has published numerous articles and chapters on the disease. Noseworthy recently led the taskforce Mayo Clinic 2020 to help establish long-term institutional direction. He completed a research fellowship at Harvard Medical School and helped found the Sylvia Lawry Centre for Multiple Sclerosis Research.
