Mediware to re-evaluate after COO resigns
Damgaard will step down on Sept. 7 to join a private company as its president, according to a news release. He has served as COO since June 2007, after joining the company in 2003 to lead its blood management division.
He previously held management positions at CGN & Associates, Maytag Corp. and IBM, according to Mediware's website.
The release noted that Mediware President and CEO Thomas Mann is considering several options for the role, including hiring a new COO or restructuring other positions at the company to incorporate those responsibilities.
Mediware develops software that provides solutions such as blood management for blood centers and medication management for acute-care hospitals and other healthcare facilities.
His age was not available at deadline.
