Centura Health, Englewood, Colo., said it will explore options for “collaboration and integration” of children's healthcare between its St. Francis Medical Center, Colorado Springs, Colo., and the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, which is the pediatric acute-care service line of HealthOne. The partners will look for opportunities to develop shared programs that will expand clinical services, according to a Centura Health news release.

“Through this letter of intent, we will explore options to take advantage of our organizations' shared strengths and opportunities while enhancing the quality and scope of pediatric services available to children and families across Southern Colorado,” said Margaret Sabin, president and CEO of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services and president of Centura's south state operating group, in the release. HealthOne, a Denver-based unit of HCA, operates seven hospitals in the Denver area.
