CORHIO policy chief to lead health IT for state

Liza Fox-Wylie, policy director for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization, has been named health information technology director for the state of Colorado, according to a CORHIO news release.

In this role, she will work with various Colorado state agencies to coordinate involvement in state and federal health IT programs.

The state director position most recently was held by Lauren Plunkett, who plans to relocate to Los Angeles to attend Southwestern Law School, Plunkett said in an interview.

Fox-Wylie will transition away from her position at Denver-based information exchange organization CORHIO during the next two months to allow for a smooth transition, according to the release.

Separately, CORHIO last week formally opened a search for a new executive director/CEO (PDF). CORHIO announced in February that Phyllis Albritton, the previous executive director, would step down at the end of March. No reason was given for Albritton's resignation.
