VitalHealth names Butterfield as division president

Blair Butterfield, former vice president of e-health international development for GE Healthcare, has been appointed to the newly created post of president of VitalHealth Software's Milwaukee-based North American division.

VitalHealth, which markets a Web-based electronic health-record and health-management systems, also has offices in India, Germany and the Netherlands. The company was founded jointly in 2005 by the Mayo Clinic and the Netherlands-based Noaber Foundation.

As president, Butterfield, 55, will oversee all operations in the U.S. and Canada, according to a VitalHealth news release.

Butterfield joined GE Healthcare in 2006 and held a number of other positions, including vice president of connectivity solutions. He also served as senior director of government initiatives for IDX Systems.
