Nuance Communications, a Burlington, Mass.-based speech technology software developer, has finalized its acquisition of Transcend Services, based in Atlanta, according to a news release.
Nuance closes deal for Transcend
Financial terms weren't disclosed, as Nuance officials said they will share them in their second-quarter earnings release due on May 10.
Transcend develops medical transcription and speech-editing software. Officials said the deal will give Nuance 90% of the U.S. market for hospital transcription services.
The deal to buy Transcend was announced in March.
