Kronos, a workforce management company based in Chelmsford, Mass., has acquired Smart Computer Holdings and its affiliate Smart Human Logistics, the company announced in a news release. Smart is a privately held healthcare workforce management company that counts several United Kingdom National Health Service trusts among its customers, according to the release. Terms of the cash deals were not disclosed. Smart will continue to operate from Codicote and Oldbury in the U.K. and Madrid.

"We are particularly excited to become a leader in the U.K. healthcare market through Smart's domain expertise and well-established base of NHS Trust customers," said Tim Bisley, general manager for Kronos EMEA, in the release. "Bringing Smart into the Kronos family also establishes a physical presence for our company in Spain, a country with tremendous potential for growth for our workforce management solutions."
Kronos in March announced it had acquired SaaShr.com. Terms of that deal also were not disclosed.
