Aegis Health Group, Nashville, promoted Pearson Talbert to president and CEO, effective immediately. Talbert, 40, had been serving as president of the consultancy since April 1, 2011. He joined the company in 2009 as chief development officer. He was previously VP of sales and business development at Ingram & Associates, an affiliate of AIM Healthcare Services.

Dr. Stephen Ondra, a former U.S. Veterans Affairs Department senior policy adviser for health affairs, was named senior VP and CMO for Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago. The appointment, effective April 16, marks a return to Northwestern for Ondra, who practiced there as a neurosurgeon from 1996 to 2009. Ondra, 55, also previously served as co-chair of health IT in President Barack Obama's office of science and technology policy. He replaces Dr. Charles Watts, who retired in December 2010. Ondra served in the Army, reaching the rank of major, and was deployed in Saudi Arabia from 1990 to 1991. His service was recognized with the Bronze Star. … Health First, based in Rockledge, Fla., has hired Joseph Felkner as senior VP and CFO. Felkner replaces Robert Galloway, who retired. Galloway had overseen financial management at Health First since its founding in 1995. Felkner, 55, was previously CFO at Lehigh Valley (Pa.) Health Network and, before that, CFO and chief strategy officer for Baptist Health Care, Pensacola, Fla. … Richard “Chip” Davis was appointed president of Johns Hopkins Medicine's Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington beginning July 6. Davis, 51, is VP for patient safety and executive director for ambulatory services at Johns Hopkins Medicine. He has been at Johns Hopkins since 1993 and will succeed Robert Sloan, who is retiring after 27 years as president and CEO at Sibley. There will no longer be a CEO position at Sibley. … Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center, Augusta, named Steven Scott COO, overseeing the adult hospital and Children's Medical Center. Scott previously was executive administrator for professional services at Oregon Health and Science University, Portland. Before that, he was VP of facilities and ancillary services for the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County–Wishard Health Services in Indianapolis. Scott's age was not provided. … Presence Health, the newly combined healthcare system that joined Provena Health and Resurrection Health Care, lifted the interim tag off the title of Pamela Bell, making her the CEO of Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, Ill. Bell, whose age wasn't provided, had filled the interim role since July after John Baird left to become CEO of the system's Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago. Bell previously was VP of professional services and director of provider relations for Holy Family. Resurrection, based in Chicago, and Provena, based in Mokena, Ill., merged in November. … Cooper Health System, Camden, N.J., named Jayashree Raman VP and CIO. Raman most recently was VP of healthcare strategy and CIO for Stanley Healthcare Solutions, Lincoln, Neb. Her age was not provided. … Marcus Shipley, former VP of information technology for Cigna Corp., has been named senior VP and CIO of Trinity Health, Novi, Mich. Shipley, 41, succeeds Paul Browne, who has been appointed Trinity Health's senior VP of integration services. Shipley first joined Cigna in 2001 and served as VP of application infrastructure services. Later, he was named head of the company's e-commerce practice. He then left the company to join Fidelity HR Services, Boston, as CIO. Shipley returned to Cigna in 2008 as VP of IT.
Christopher Booth was named to succeed David Klein as CEO of the Lifetime Healthcare Companies and its subsidiary, Excellus BlueCross and BlueShield. Klein, 63, has been CEO for nine years and plans to retire at the end of the year, the company announced in February. Booth, president of Excellus, joined the company in 2004 as chief administrative officer and general counsel. He was named executive VP for commercial markets and healthcare affairs in January 2009 and then executive VP and COO before becoming president last March. Lifetime Healthcare includes a half-dozen affiliate companies in addition to Excellus. … Health Choice Arizona, a Medicare and Medicaid managed health plan in Phoenix, promoted Mike Uchrin to CEO. Uchrin replaces Carolyn Rose, who retired after serving as CEO since 1999. He has been at Health Choice since 2002, serving in a number of positions including COO and most recently as associate CEO. His age was not provided. Health Choice Arizona is part of Iasis Healthcare, Franklin, Tenn.
CVS Caremark Corp. promoted Jonathan Roberts to president of the Woonsocket, R.I.-based company's pharmacy benefit management business, a move that will be effective in September. Per Lofberg, current president, has been named chairman of its PBM business. Roberts, 56, currently is executive VP and COO of Caremark Pharmacy Services, the PBM unit. When he takes on the president role in September, Roberts will have day-to-day responsibility for the PBM business, including sales, account management and operations. Lofberg, 63, will focus on PBM strategy, new business development and client relationship management and retention as chairman.
