CentraCare Health System's Coborn Cancer Center in St. Cloud, Minn., has become the first cancer-specific member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, a news release said.
Cancer center joins Mayo network
Mayo has been partnering with health systems that can pay a fee to access the Rochester, Minn.-based health systems’ databases on disease management, along with having electronic access to Mayo clinicians and tailored administrative consulting.
Coborn is the first Mayo Clinic Cancer Care Network Member. Mayo officials say its partners are selected after applicants pass a screening of their patient care and quality data.
Dr. Jan Buckner, chairman of Mayo Clinic’s Division of Medical Oncology, said in the release that CentraCare’s membership in the cancer network would build on long-standing collaborations with CentraCare for clinical trials and informal patient consultations.
