HP Enterprise Services has been chosen to continue as a prime contractor on the U.S. Veteran Affairs Department's Compensation and Pension Record Interchange (CAPRI) program accessing veterans' healthcare records.
According to an HP news release, the company will provide project management, process analysis and testing services under the terms of the $4.3 million deal. HP will also design software, development and support services for the CAPRI program.
The program allows the Veterans Health Administration and the Veterans Benefits Administration to share medical data through a system called the Bidirectional Health Information Exchange. CAPRI provides online access to medical data on the system, according to the release.
The company has been involved with the program for 10 years. Under the new contract, HP will partner with veteran-owned businesses Systems Made Simple and V-Tech Solutions.
