WellPoint, the Indianapolis-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield licensee, named Venkata Rajamannar Madabhushi to the newly created role of executive VP of its senior business and chief transformation officer.
Rajamannar comes over from Humana, where he served as senior vice president and chief innovation and marketing officer for the Louisville-based health insurance provider, according to a news release.
“Raja's extensive experience in global business management, marketing, product development and consumer engagement will be a great asset to our company, especially at a time when consumers are taking a more active role in the selection and management of their healthcare options,” Angela Braly, WellPoint's chair, president and CEO, said in a news release.
Rajamannar's new duties include responsibility for WellPoint's senior and international businesses and market and product innovation. His age was not provided.
