Natural Molecular Testing names CMO

Natural Molecular Testing Corp., a provider of clinical molecular testing and services in the medical genomics field, hired Dr. Karthikeshwar Kasirajan as chief medical officer.

Kasirajan, 45, is responsible for overseeing the Seattle-based company's development of adverse-drug-interaction tools and disease registries and its outreach to physicians and other clinical partners, according to a Natural Molecular Testing news release.

It is a new position, a Natural Molecular Testing Corp. spokesperson said.

Kasirajan most recently served as director of clinical research and endovascular therapy at East Bay Cardiovascular and Thoracic Associates in Concord, Calif., and is a former associate professor of surgery and director of clinical research at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
