The CMS awarded a prime contract to Science Applications International Corp., McLean, Va., for identity proofing and authentication support services, according to an SAIC news release.
CMS awards SAIC identity-proofing contract
The contract, which has a one-year base period and four one-year options that total as much as $78 million, is for enterprise remote identity proofing and multifactor authentication credential services support.
SAIC will provide identity proofing and credential provisioning in compliance with NIST 800-63-1 Level 2 and Level 3 assurance, according to the release. The company will aim to reduce potential fraud in a cloud services model and will enable the CMS to use multiple access devices.
