Amy LaFine was named president and CEO of St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Ill.
Fine, 57, was born at St. Mary's, according to a news release.

She started working at the 143-bed hospital as a nurse intern in 1974 and was vice president, patient care services, before becoming interim CEO when Michael Arno left in September.
St. Mary's is part of Presence Health, the newly merged system formed by Provena Health, Mokena, Ill., and Resurrection Health Care, Chicago.
