IPC did not release financial details of the transaction, which was expected to add about 36,000 new patient encounters per year, according to a news release from IPC.
The newly acquired hospitalist practice is co-owned by Gatien and Dr. Naja Naddaf, who will both remain in practice under IPC ownership.
Earlier in the week, IPC announced plans to acquire the hospitalist practice of publicly traded Inpatient Clinical Solutions, Coral Springs, Fla., pending shareholder approval later this month. IPC acquired PCA Hospitalists of Port St. Lucie, Fla., in December.
