Baxter completes Synovis Life acquisition
Baxter said in a news release that the transaction was approved by Synovis shareholders.
The $325 million deal, which was announced in December, is expected to expand Baxter's regenerative medicine and biosurgery portfolio. Synovis also manufactures orthopedic and wound management products.
“The acquisition enhances Baxter's ability to offer a broad range of tools used to repair and reconstruct soft tissue damaged by disease or injury, as well as specific tools used in a variety of microsurgical procedures," said Ludwig Hantson, president of Baxter's BioScience business, in the news release.
Baxter is based in Deerfield, Ill.
