Hill-Rom Holdings, a Batesville, Ind.-based medical equipment manufacturer, said it completed its acquisition of the Volker group for $85 million.
Volker is a German healthcare furniture maker of long-term-care and acute-care bed frames, surfaces and other furniture. The company reported $100 million in revenue in 2010.
The deal, which was announced in December, is expected to build on Hill-Rom's product offerings in Europe and on a global basis, the company said in a news release.
“The combined strength of Hill-Rom and Volker in innovation, product portfolio and operational excellence further develops our company's leadership position in key markets," Hill-Rom President and CEO John Greisch said in the news release.
Last fall, Hill-Rom said it acquired two of its distribution companies in France and Switzerland for about $20 million.
