Diversinet Corp., Toronto, named Dr. Hon Pak as the company's permanent CEO. Pak had served in the role on an interim basis for the mobile healthcare application security company since December.
Diversinet names Pak permanent CEO
Pak, 48, replaces Albert Wahbe, who had held the CEO post since 2007. Previously, Pak worked as chief information officer for the U.S. Army Medical Department. He served the Army for 28 years.
"In the past 60 days as interim CEO, I have had the time to validate our technology and assess the market potential for Diversinet," Pak said in a news release. "The core technology has the components to support and enable care coordination through mobility, and we are now developing a marketing and technology strategy to become a dominant player to mobilize care coordination."
Diversinet appointed Pak to the company's board of directors in September.
