David Hebert is the new CEO of the American College of Nurse Practitioners. Hebert, 54, most recently was senior VP for policy and government relations for the American Health Care Association, a trade group representing long-term-care facilities.
Founding CEO of Hill Physicians Medical Group to retire, and other moves
From 2003 to 2004, he was chief of staff for then-House Majority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.). ... The California Hospital Association hired Dr. David Perrott as senior VP and chief medical officer to replace Dorel Harms, who retired as senior VP of clinical services. Perrott, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, will lead the association's public-policy efforts involving clinical services. He recently left Salinas (Calif.) Valley Memorial Hospital, where he was VP and CMO. His position with the CHA was effective Jan. 3. Perrott's age was not provided.
Steve McDermott, founding CEO of Hill Physicians Medical Group, San Ramon, Calif., will retire at the end of March and will be succeeded by current COO Darryl Cardoza. McDermott, 65, and Cardoza, whose age was not provided, have partnered since 1981, when they formed PriMed Management Consulting Services, also in San Ramon. McDermott will remain chairman of PriMed's board. PriMed is owned by McDermott, Cardoza, Hill Physicians and San Francisco-based Dignity Health.
