Indianapolis-based Riley Hospital for Children has named Dr. Paul Haut chief medical officer, effective immediately.
Riley Hospital for Children names new CMO
Haut, 48, is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and has served since 2002 as director of the Riley Stem Cell Transplant Program. Haut succeeds Dr. Jeffrey Sperring, who assumed the CMO role in 2009 and was promoted to president and CEO of Riley in November 2011.
Before joining Riley, Haut served as a pediatric transplant physician at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
In his new role as CMO, he will lead recruitment efforts and quality and safety initiatives, according to a hospital news release.
