Northwest Community Healthcare's Medical Group, based in Arlington Heights, Ill., has acquired Family Treatment Center of Palatine, Ill.
Chicago-area medical group expands
Family Treatment Center, founded in 1986, will change names March 1 to reflect its new affiliation. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. The deal gives NCH six offices in Chicago's northwest suburbs.
"Joining the NCH Medical Group strengthens our ability to provide exceptional care for our patients," Dr. Janet Reilly, one of three Family Treatment Center doctors, said in an NHC news release. "There's value to physicians and hospitals working together."
NCH Medical Group is affiliated with 435-bed Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Editor's note: In 2010, Northwest Community Hospital President and CEO Bruce Crowther talked with Modern Healthcare about the transition to hospital employment of physicians.
