The Central Florida Health Alliance has named Don Henderson CEO of the two-hospital system, based in Leesburg.

Henderson, 54, spent 19 years working as a hospital CEO and in other roles at the for-profit hospital chains Community Health Systems and HCA, although he most recently served as president and CEO at the not-for-profit 224-bed Jackson Hospital and Clinic, Montgomery, Ala.
The Central Florida Health Alliance is a not-for-profit system comprising 429-bed Leesburg Regional Medical Center and the 120-bed Villages Health System in The Villages, Fla. Henderson succeeds former CEO Lee Huntley, who has left the system, a spokeswoman said.
