Wolters Kluwer closes pharma publishing sale
The sale is part of Wolters Kluwer's strategy to focus on core health markets, according to a news release from the company. Wolters Kluwer announced in July its intention to sell its pharmaceutical business, which includes both pharmaceutical publishing and a line of prescription-drug data-mining tools and analytics services. Springer expects the deal to strengthen its position in the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions and also in parts of Europe, according to a Springer news release.
