Catalyst Health Chairman Civera to retire
The company said in a news release that Catalyst CEO David Blair has been named chairman effective Jan. 1. In addition, the board unanimously approved an extension to Blair's employment agreement through 2015.
Civera served as a director since 2000 and as chairman since 2005. He joined the company in 1997, when it was founded as a supplemental insurance benefits provider. Civera's age was not immediately available.
Catalyst Health Solutions operates three subsidiaries: CatalystRx, a full-service PBM; HospiScript Services, a PBM services provider for the hospice industry; and Immediate Pharmaceutical Services, a prescription mail service facility. Among numerous other PBM services, Catalyst offers electronic prescription-drug event reporting and data analysis.
The company acquired Walgreens Health Initiatives, the PBM subsidiary previously owned by Walgreen Co., earlier this year.
