MVP Health Care, a not-for-profit insurer from Schenectady, N.Y., and Vermont Managed Care, a Fletcher Allen Health Care-owned physician hospital organization based in Burlington, Vt., announced a partnership to share data and promote coordinated care.
Vt. coordinated care partnership announced
"To offer Vermont residents and employers competitive pricing, we developed a partnership that includes robust care coordination by VMC with an eye toward leveraging local healthcare resources, which in turn helps control costs," said Bill Little, MVP Health's vice president, in a news release.
The two parties collaborated to develop a number of insurance plans, and officials said Vermont Managed Care and its 2,700 providers at 100 hospitals in New Hampshire and Vermont will have more control while sharing information with MVP Health, a prominent regional insurer that counts more than 700,000 subscribers in New Hampshire, New York and Vermont.
